We’re preparing to see more new faces this summer, and that means our
hunger-fighting agency partners need to be ready too.
Thanks to you, we were able to partner with Solano County to provide our
Solano-based agencies with grants for much-needed equipment that will help
them meet the rising need for food.
More grants are on the way to make sure our Contra Costa County agencies
are also ready to fill the hunger gap.
Here are a few of the success stories you’ve made possible

Archway Recovery Services
Our partners in Fairfield provide treatment and support services to neighbors who’ve struggled with substance use.
“Eating healthy again and helping them build those healthy habits is part of recovery,” says Kitchen Manager Anthony Perez. The new salad bar gives Archway’s residents the opportunity to enjoy fresh and nutritious options that taste just the way they like!

Boys and Girls Empowerment Group
Our partners in Vallejo used to collect food from the Food Bank in a
pickup truck.
With a new vehicle, “we’re able to triple the amount of food that we’re
getting,” says Executive Director Orlando Graham. With more new faces
visiting their twice-weekly grocery distributions over the last six months,
that increase is much needed.

Caminar: Comprehensive Case Management
Our partners at Caminar: Comprehensive Case Management provide health and support services for neighbors with serious mental health conditions, including access to healthy groceries for pick up and home delivery.
“With the vehicle we can pick up more food, deliver more food, and we’ll be able to transport patients here to pick up food,” says Clinical Program Director Bernie Naranjo. And the new fridge-freezer combo means more of that food can be healthy protein and dairy products!
