Q: How many pounds of food were distributed last year?

ANSWER: Over 39 million pounds of food

That’s enough food to serve over 79,000 households each month. It’s only possible thanks to community members like you, who donate and volunteer your time to help fight hunger in your community.

We host food distributions at convenient locations across our two counties, and work with 245 agency partners (like soup kitchens, food pantries, and child care centers) to make it as easy as possible for people to access our services. See food distributions near you.

Q: How many pounds of food does the Food Bank rescue each year that would otherwise go to waste?

ANSWER: Over 9 million pounds of food

The Food Bank and our agency partners rescue edible but unsellable food from local stores, so it can be given to people in need instead of going into landfills. Rescuing food not only reduces waste, it also gives our neighbors a wider variety of food to choose from, like seasonal and allergy-friendly items.

Q: What portion of all food distributed is fresh produce, protein, and dairy?

ANSWER: 66% of all food distributed

Fresh produce, protein, and dairy products are essential for good health – especially for growing kids and seniors. We’re able to provide more fresh and nutritious foods like these because community members like you support our mission. Every $1 donated to the Food Bank allows us to provide 2+ meals of healthy foods to our neighbors.

Q: How much of every dollar donated goes directly to food programs?

ANSWER: 97 cents of every dollar directly supports our food programs

To make sure everyone gets the nourishment they need, we also have special food programs tailored to the nutritional needs of senior adults, and kids and their families. Learn more about  our programs.
