Hunger action heroes assemble!

September is Hunger Action Month, a time to come together and take a stand against hunger

In Contra Costa and Solano counties, we serve over 270,000 neighbors in need. That’s 1 out of 6 community members! With food inflation hitting many who can least afford it, this year it’s critically important we support those in our community struggling with hunger.

That’s why we’re asking you to become a Hunger Action Hero. As part of our superhero team, you can raise awareness of hunger, take actions to stamp it out and work towards policy changes that can create a world without hunger.

The Food Bank will be sending out new superhero missions in our email newsletters all month long. Take part – and tag us @foodbankccs when you post about your actions on social media – and you could win a gift bag of hunger fighter gear, in addition to making a big difference in your community.

Are you ready to leap into action?
