Souper Bowl of Caring (January 28-February 4)

Date/Time: 01/28/2018-02/04/2018, All Day

Event Info

Souper Bowl of Caring is a national movement of young people working to fight hunger and poverty in their own communities around the time of the Super Bowl football game. During the week leading up to the Super Bowl on February 4th, churches, schools and other organizations simply take up a collection (many use a soup pot) asking for one dollar or an item of food for people in need.  100% of donations are then given directly to their charity of choice. Register at www.souperbowl.org.  Choose the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano as your charity and help us score a victory in the fight against hunger! Contact Renee Baptiste (925) 771-1310 or rbaptiste@foodbankccs.org.

Since the Souper Bowl of Caring began in 1990, more than $100 million has gone to help people in need through soup kitchens, food banks and other charities in the communities across the country.
