Moraga Turkey Trot

The Moraga Country Club has announced the return of their annual Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning, a local tradition for many families.

The 5K Run/Walk is open to runners and walkers of all ability levels. This event will fill up quickly and there is no better way to start the family festivities than with a fun morning out on Moraga Country Club’s Golf Course.

Sign up for the 5K Run/Walk scheduled to begin at 8:15 am, and a 1.5-mile race starting at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 24. The event benefits the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano. “So in addition to working up an appetite for your own Thanksgiving feast with all the fixings, you will know that you are helping others less fortunate,” adds Jacobsen. Last year’s event raised over $5,000 for the Food Bank.”
