Food is Medicine

Willie Mae Davis has served as a Chaplain with the Richmond Police Department for over five years and as a Volunteer in Spiritual Care under the Kaiser Richmond Chaplain Program for three years. With more than 30 years of evangelism work, she has supported neighbors in need with food, clothing, and more.
A graduate of the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano’s 2025 Voices for Change program (formally known as the Speaker Series), Willie Mae shared her voice at the State Capitol by advocating with legislators to address food insecurity. She believes food is medicine for the body, supporting physical, mental, and spiritual wellbeing.
Willie Mae is a graduate of Richmond High School and Contra Costa College and trained as a Medical Assistant.  Her hobbies include working out at the gym, traveling, and serving others. She carries a heart and passion for people in all she does.
