Hailey Solares is a policy and advocacy leader dedicated to ending hunger and advancing economic justice. As Advocacy and Policy Manager at the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano, she works at the intersection of community need and public policy — partnering with elected officials, agencies, and grassroots advocates to drive solutions that ensure families have consistent access to food.
With experience in federal government working for a member of Congress and a strong foundation in anti-poverty work, Hailey brings both policy expertise and a community-centered approach to her work. She leads initiatives that amplify lived experiences, mobilize advocates, and influence legislation impacting millions of Californians.
Beyond her role at the food bank, she serves on the Board of Trinity Center, supporting efforts to serve individuals experiencing homelessness. Hailey is a UC Berkeley alum whose work is grounded in the belief that effective policy must be informed by the communities it aims to serve.
