Dawn is a proud Speaker Series 2023 graduate and Hunger Fighter at the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano. She is currently the Food and Fund Drive Coordinator, connecting with the community to coordinate food drives and virtual food drives of all sizes. Dawn is also a co-chair of the Food Bank’s Hunger Action Month Committee. This group plans and coordinates the Food Bank’s annual September efforts to engage and empower the community around hunger awareness and food insecurity education.

Her lived expertise around access to healthy food during her youth drives her passion to ensure that children and young people at all levels of the education system have easy access to healthy and nutritious foods.
