Career Opportunities

The Accounting Manager plays a key role in advancing the food bank’s mission by ensuring the financial health and integrity of the organization. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this position oversees day-to-day accounting operations, manages a small team, and partners with departments across the organization — including Development, Programs, and Operations — to support budgeting, grant reporting, and resource allocation. The CalFresh Outreach Program Coordinator conducts community outreach and enrollment support to connect eligible neighbors in Contra Costa and Solano counties to CalFresh (SNAP) benefits. Working with community and faith-based organizations, this role helps individuals understand, apply for, and successfully navigate the CalFresh program, removing barriers to food access one enrollment at a time. The Class B Driver / CPP Site Coordinator transports fresh fruits and vegetables to Community Produce Program (CPP) distribution sites throughout the service area, ensuring our neighbors receive nutritious food reliably and safely. This role combines skilled commercial driving with on-the-ground site coordination, including supervising volunteers, managing produce distribution, and maintaining accurate program records. The Philanthropy Officer – Major Gifts manages a portfolio of approximately 150 major gift prospects and donors — those with the capacity to give $5,000 or more — and leads all phases of the major giving cycle from identification and cultivation through solicitation and stewardship. As a key member of the Leadership Gifts team, this role builds deep, mission-centered relationships with high-capacity donors throughout Contra Costa and Solano counties and partners with board members, executive staff, and volunteers to expand the major gifts program. Through personalized cultivation strategies, compelling proposals, and a planned giving program, this role plays a central role in building the sustained philanthropic support that enables FBCCS to end hunger.
