Give Help

Hunger is closer than you think.

Every day, thousands of people in our community struggle to meet their basic nutritional needs. You can make a difference right now.

Because you are so generous, we can maximize and multiply your gifts of food, money and time. In our hands, a one dollar gift turns into two meals for children, adults or seniors.

With your help, the Food Bank is leading the fight against hunger. Your help can bring immediate relief and hope to a family or individual who is suffering from hunger. The Food Bank has many giving options to meet the interests of our community of supporters.

Without the help of our partners and supporters like you, the work of the Food Bank would not be possible. Read on to learn how you can make a difference in the lives of your neighbors in need.

Donate Money

The Food Bank invests your gift effectively and efficiently: 96% of your donation goes towards getting food to hungry people. We encourage you to find out more about the Food Programs your donation supports.

The Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, so your gift is tax-deductible and you’ll receive a tax receipt for your contribution.

For help with a donation by mail or online, contact Ashley Leon, aleon@foodbankccs.org or call 925-676-7543 ext. 215.

Virtual Food Drives

The Food Bank’s Virtual Food Drive tool creates personalized, interactive web pages for our supporters where they can invite coworkers, family and friends to help reach their fundraising goal — all while helping provide more meals than a traditional canned food drive.

Donate Food

The Food Bank solicits, warehouses and distributes large-scale food donations to more than 175 agencies and directly through food assistance programs. The Food Bank can also help you find a drop site if you are looking to make an individual donation. To donate food, call 855-309-FOOD (3663) or email info@foodbankccs.org.

Volunteer

Volunteers are essential at all levels of the Food Bank’s operations from working in the warehouse packing food to staffing at public awareness and fundraising events.
