Free Meals for Children & Teens
The Summer Food Service Program provides meals to all children and teens ages 18 and younger free of charge. When children are out of school, many lack the regular meal they receive at lunch time. There are no requirements to receive the meal, just that you be younger than 18 years of age. The program goes throughout the summer months and the Food Bank updates our website with locations in Contra Costa and Solano prior to Summer Vacation.
The Food Bank partnered with UC Cooperative Extension, Contra Costa Health Services, and Vallejo and Mt. Diablo Unified School Districts to hold two Summer Lunch Celebration events this past summer.
