Food Bank Member Agencies
The Food Bank is a centralized warehouse that stores and distributes donated and purchased perishable and nonperishable food items to other nonprofit organizations as well as directly to low-income people.
Member agencies select from a large variety of food and grocery items. While some food and grocery items have a shared maintenance fee, many items are available at no cost or fee. For example, perishable products such as produce, dairy and bakery items are available to member agencies in unlimited quantities and with no fee. The variety and flexibility with fees helps member agencies provide nutritionally balanced supplies of food and grocery items to persons in need. It also allows them to select the specific items needed for their programs. The cost efficiencies achieved through the shared maintenance fees allow agencies to provide more food to the community.
