Bruce is a retired Ph.D. Biochemist with over 40 years of combined technical management, operational and research & development experience in biotechnology, medical devices and diagnostics, as well as executive recruitment. He has held senior positions with both multinational corporations and venture capital-backed startup companies. His corporate career includes positions with Abbott Laboratories (Technical Support and R&D Manager, Diagnostics Division), Chiron Corporation/Novartis (Divisional VP Blood Testing), Aviir (CTO for a VC-funded startup) and President/CEO of his own biotechnology consulting business. Bruce’s specialties include diagnostic assay and instrument systems development, performance verification, clinical validation, regulatory and patent assessment, strategic business development, executive search, placement of technical personnel and technical management. Alongside his wife Lynne, Bruce has volunteered in several capacities for the Food Bank for the past 25 years. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, golfing, and solving word and jigsaw puzzles.
