Hunger Action Month – September

Date/Time: 09/01/2021-09/30/2021, All Day

Event Info

Hunger Action MonthIt takes all of us working together to end hunger. Feeding America projects that more than 54 million people could face hunger this year in the wake of the pandemic. We need our community’s support—now more than ever—to help our neighbors in need. Together, we can end hunger one action at a time.

That is why every September the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano joins the Feeding America network of food banks to Turn Orange for Hunger Action Month.  Orange is the official color of hunger relief and makes a bold statement to start the conversation about hunger.

So, how can you become a Hunger Action Hero?

DONATE – Every $1 provides enough food for two meals! Give today at foodbankccs.org/hungeractionmonth.

ADVOCATE – Follow the Food Bank @foodbankccs and share our posts about local hunger; reach out to local elected official about the importance of fighting food insecurity in our community.

TURN ORANGE – Orange is the official color of hunger relief. Make a statement by wearing orange in September!

Bonus: Take a picture of your orange attire and tag us @foodbankccs or email it to .
