CalFresh, California’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), provides benefits for low-income Californians with the aim of improving access to nutritious, affordable food. The Food Bank focuses our state legislative efforts on policies that will build public and political support for CalFresh, and would reform CalFresh in California in a number of important ways to allow more eligible Californians to enroll in this vital program. CalFresh is particularly necessary in these difficult economic times and could also help bring in billions in federally-funded dollars into California.
