What Is Brown Bag?
The Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano’s Brown Bag Program distributes free bags of groceries at various locations in both Contra Costa and Solano County.

BECOMING A PARTICIPANT
There are 3 criteria for membership, all of which must be verified:
1. Members must be 55 years of age or older
2. Members must reside in a low income household that meets the state income guidelines.
3. Members must reside in Contra Costa or Solano County
To register you will need to provide the following, include copies of documents:
1. Identification with birth date, *can also verify address.
Examples: Driver’s license*, California state identification card*,
Passport, Medical insurance card
2. Verification of household income. Household is defined as
persons residing at the same address, *can also verify address.
Examples: Social Security check, Bank statement*, MediCal card,
Income tax return*, Social Security statement*
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
In order for you to apply for Brown Bag membership, you must provide this information along with copies of documents to verify your age, residence and household income.
