Meet Your Auctioneer

Ed Gold

Auctioneer Ed Gold

Ed Gold comes from a family with deep roots in Hollywood and the entertainment industry.  In the 1970s, he traveled around the world on tour with the legendary Cat Stevens Band. Following his rock and roll days, Ed settled in as a studio technician and eventually became an award winning producer and writer for both television and films.

Ed worked his way through college as a commercial auctioneer and, over the years, frequently used his creative talents to help nonprofits. He received the Easter Seals Communication, Media Access, Rehabilitation Congress of America, and Christopher Awards in recognition of his contributions.

A 2008 introduction by Greg Quiroga led Ed to join the highly regarded firm of Reynolds & Buckley, LLC Fundraising Auctions.  His goal was to draw upon his theatrical background while marrying his commercial auctioneering skills with his commitment to nonprofits.

Ed has proven himself to be as valuable a performer on stage as off. His pre-event dedication as consultant and entertaining on-stage presence (and at R & B staff meetings!) continue the best of R & B traditions.  Today his client list includes over 30 charities.

In 2012, Ed became a Benefit Auction Specialist as certified by the National Auctioneers Association. He and his wife Joanne and their sons Turner and Kyle live in the Northern California beach community of Pacifica.
