Fight hunger and poverty around the corner and around the world
Communities from Sonoma to the South Bay will come together this spring to fight hunger at home and around the world when they participate in the Bay Area Hunger Walk. Held annually, the purpose of the Walk is not only to raise money to fight hunger, but raise awareness about the many people around the world who must daily walk to secure basic necessities such as food and water. On April 6th caring people from across the Bay area will show the world that fighting hunger is more than a catch phrase – it’s a call to act, a call to Walk!
Walk registration will take place behind the Ferry Building, 289 Mare Island Way, Vallejo, on Sunday, 4/6, at 1:30pm. The Walk begins at 2:00pm. The route will follow a path along the picturesque Mare Island Shoreline. So, pull out your walking shoes, enjoy a day out of doors and the beauty of the Mare Island waterfront, while joining your community in walking for hunger!
